Aesthetic interview with Thea

Aesthetic interview with Thea

Please introduce yourself in 2-5 sentences.

My name is Hanz Anthea Iléne Kong Mendiola, but my friends call me Thea. I live in the Philippines, and I'm a young and passionate artist/influencer.
I started drawing when I was roughly around 6 years old, and I still enjoy making art to this day. Overall, I'm a pretty free-spirited person who enjoys the company of others.

What made you start creating content on social media?

It all started in May 2017 when I started seeing “aesthetic” posts on my explore page. To be honest, I found it odd at first to see pictures of a Kanken bag lying on grass or pictures of pastel socks on a bed. I remember thinking, “Why were these getting so many likes?” but I eventually got around it and found them pretty cool, which resulted in me creating content on IG. I will never forget the people who really got me inspired: @92mlk (Jackie), @sovbean (soyeon), @f.petal (callam), and @artsypeach (noor).

What do you think are the current and future trends in fashion?

Let’s be real here - fashion more or less repeats itself. I think the trends of today are just modernized versions of the 80s, 90s, 00s fashion. Trends come and go, so we never really know what comes next.

Is fashion a true art form?

I agree, that in some sense, fashion is a form of art because I believe fashion is a way of expressing yourself as an individual.

What's your biggest goal as a creator/blogger?

I want to take this opportunity to inspire the people in my community and influence them positively.

Do you want to mention anything else?

I just hope you realize that you are the only one who can ever be you, so I suggest you embrace that :)

We wish you all possible success, thanks for this interview!
